Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 22: Sunday, May 31

Today I pray with gratitude for Pope Leo for addressing the AI revolution in his encyclical “Magnifica Humanitas.” May we “lovingly safeguard the grandeur of humanity bestowed on us...the splendor of which no machine can ever replace.”

Day 23: Monday, June 1

God of peace, stir our hearts to act toward just solutions that end conflicts, restore dignity and lift up the common good. Disrupt aggression in every nation and assist people in need who are afflicted by violence and oppression.

Day 24: Tuesday, June 2

Today I pray for free and fair elections, voting rights, and for every voice to be represented equitably and without diminishment from partisan gerrymandering.

Day 25: Wednesday, June 3

God of justice, enable us to see through the hidden indignities and intentional cruelty of immigration detention. Enable us to enforce laws with transparency and kindness, and lead us to achieve comprehensive immigration reform.

Day 26: Thursday, June 4

Today, I pray for the mission of global healthcare to be free of fringe politics, grounded in science, compassionate, and affordable. Empower us to stop the Ebola outbreak, and provide healing care to anyone, anywhere that needs it.

Day 27: Friday, June 5

God of creation, give us the wisdom and discipline to address the long view of caring for our common home for future generations. Help us to be stewards of the air and water we will share with our posterity.

Day 28: Saturday, June 6

Today I pray for the people of Cuba. As political brinkmanship has the nation near collapse, may the people be saved from hunger, poverty, and suffering. Guide us away from preventable humanitarian crises around the globe.
