Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 78: Sunday, July 26

God of Life, bestow on us Your loving spirit so that people of all races, nations and religions welcome and support each other. May we all be enriched with the gift of understanding, support and compassion.

Day 79: Monday, July 27

Today we pray for all families who struggle and live in anguish due to separation, illness, unemployment or fear. May they find the resources needed to protect their families and be consoled with hope and resilience.

Day 80: Tuesday, July 28

Loving God, we pray for all nation leaders to genuinely desire to serve the common good where inclusion, equality and understanding is enjoyed by all in their communities. May they all work for world peace and justice.

Day 81: Wednesday, July 29

Compassionate One, we pray for those who have been devastated by natural disasters. We hold in our hearts the families forever changed by grief and loss. Surround them with prayer and strength as they face rebuilding ahead.

Day 82: Thursday, July 30

WORLD DAY AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS - Transforming God, change the hearts of predators who impose suffering through trafficking. May they respect human dignity and understand we are all made in Your image.

Day 83: Friday, July 31

Today we pray for all who are experiencing homelessness, who are displaced in their own countries, and those who are food insecure. Inspire us to work as one and remind us that what happens to my dear neighbor impacts us all.

Day 84: Saturday, August 1

God of Mercy, watch over all those who are overshadowed by conflicts around the world, protect innocent civilians and guard soldiers who were sent to fight wars. We pray we all raise our voices and call for an end to wars.
