God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 71: Sunday, July 19

God of Healing, we pray for those facing serious illness who are denied treatment due to skyrocketing healthcare costs. Empower leaders to pass effective healthcare reform. Bring comfort and strength to those who suffer.

Day 72: Monday, July 20

Loving Creator, we are heartbroken by those killed because of reckless immigration enforcement actions. Transform the hearts of those who order and carry out cruel enforcement strategies. Protect our immigrant neighbors.

Day 73: Tuesday, July 21

Sheltering One, we pray for the success of the new federal bipartisan housing bill, especially for those who have no home or are housing insecure. May vulnerable families and individuals be strengthened economically and socially.

Day 74: Wednesday, July 22

God of Wholeness, we pray for all those who have died and who are experiencing distress from extreme heat. Inspire Earth’s peoples to swiftly adopt cleaner energy to protect all beings from dangerous climate impacts.

Day 75: Thursday, July 23

Today I pray for an end to historical hatred among some nations. Bring lasting healing to those who have faced unspeakable violence. Inspire leaders to address grievances justly so all people may live in peace.

Day 76: Friday, July 24

God of Truth, we pray that all world religions be free to operate from their highest ideals of compassion and respect, not used as a tool of dominance and control. May all people of faith be instruments of healing.

Day 77: Saturday, July 25

Today I pray that the right to vote is protected from misguided efforts to curtail it. May our nation continue to be inspired by the many brave people throughout history who struggled and sacrificed for this right.
