Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 57: Sunday, July 5

Today I pray for faith that informs political decisions rather than politics influencing faith practices. May our faith, love, and charity toward our dear neighbors continually grow into compassionate action.

Day 58: Monday, July 6

Loving God, as the World Cup continues, let it draw awareness to brothers and sisters in different places and create unity and joy. May it also be an awakening to human trafficking that accompanies big events. Help me to stop this crime.

Day 59: Tuesday, July 7

Today I pray for anyone experiencing pain at the pump and grocery checkouts. I pray that all can afford their essential needs. I pray for unity and practicality in our politics to overcome partisan gridlock and solve common problems.

Day 60: Wednesday, July 8

God of creation, provide relief to regions experiencing record heat. Keep Your children cool and safe amidst harsh conditions. Help us recognize our role in supercharging climate change and to courageously strive to reverse it over time.

Day 61: Thursday, July 9

Today, I pray that love for our brothers and sisters and a sense of shared dignity can overcome demeaning epithets that marginalize people. Lead us to respect and value all lives and recognize that no human being is illegal.

Day 62: Friday, July 10

God of abundance, help us collectively navigate political and social barriers that stand in the way of affordable housing for all people, especially those who are starting out and cannot afford a roof over their heads.

Day 63: Saturday, July 11

Today, we pray for all those who struggle with the impact of legislation passed a year ago by the Administration that has led to less food on the table, tighter household budgets, and reduced access to healthcare.
