Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.
God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 43: Sunday, June 21
God of Justice, we pray fervently for all people suffering from the withdrawal of USAID. We commend to You those who have died of AIDS and their children left without their love and guidance.
Day 44: Monday, June 22
As the FIFA World Cup games continue, may peoples of different nations find opportunities to connect and form friendships. Help us to understand that we are all siblings, loved and cherished by You.
Day 45: Tuesday, June 23
Holy One, we lift to You our dear unhoused neighbors battling mental illness. May we all work tirelessly for respectful treatment and housing, so they may be restored in mind, body, and spirit.
Day 46: Wednesday, June 24
Breath of Life, we call to mind those living in polluted cities, suffering from asthma, and cardiac and respiratory illnesses. Empower governments to embrace renewable energy so all peoples may breathe easily and live fully.
Day 47: Thursday, June 25
Today, I pray for all families struggling with the rising cost of rent, healthcare, energy, and food. May just policies protect vulnerable parents and children, bringing equal access to the fullness of life for all.
Day 48: Friday, June 26
God of Protection, we are heartbroken by ongoing wars in too many regions of our world. Break the hearts of stone of leaders that cause violence. Bring safety and healing to our suffering siblings.
Day 49: Saturday, June 27
God of Wholeness, protect our dear neighbors forced to cancel their health insurance because of Medicaid cuts. Stir the hearts of decision-makers to prioritize affordable healthcare for all rather than corporate profits.
