Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 36: Sunday, June 14

God of abundance, thank You for providing what I need, including joy, faith, and resilience when material items may fall short. I ask for Your provision of honest work, ample food, a roof, and healthcare I can afford.

Day 37: Monday, June 15

God of justice, may Your wisdom be revealed in compassionate budgets born from our taxes. Prevent fraud, waste, and resources used for fear and vanity projects. Fund items that help people, including a stable social security benefit

Day 38: Tuesday, June 16

Compassionate God, I ask You to abide in the hearts of ICE agents, border patrol, and other law enforcement. Grant them wisdom to uphold laws with transparency, kindness, and dignity, while rejecting cruelty.

Day 39: Wednesday, June 17

Today I pray that women and people of color are not shut out of job opportunities. I pray for the values of diversity and inclusion to grow and thrive. I pray that meritocracy does not serve as a disguise for racial biases.

Day 40: Thursday, June 18

God of peace, walk alongside those who continue to face war each day, fraying the fabric of families and communities. May weapons be set down and the work of rebuilding a just society in each nation begin.

Day 41: Friday, June 19

JUNETEENTH (U.S.) - Today I pray that our elected government cease efforts to hide the history of racism in our country and to stop dismantling DEI programs. May our representatives promote understanding and equity for all.

Day 42: Saturday, June 20

As we say goodbye to Spring and hello to Summer, I ask You, Creator God, to inspire us to care for our common home. By caring for the environment, may I reflect Your love for people today, and for others who will inherit the earth.
