Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.
God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 64: Sunday, July 13
Compassionate Creator, we hold in prayer those who are unhoused, especially during this dangerous summer heat. May shelter, safety, and dignity be provided swiftly, and may we work for a world where housing is a human right.
Day 65: Monday, July 14
Merciful God, we pray for families torn apart by deportation. For the children left behind, may they be supported emotionally and financially. May communities rise in compassion, and may policies be rooted in justice.
Day 66: Tuesday, July 15
God of guidance, renew my spirit that cries out “I did not vote for this!” Light a path to restore healthcare, food assistance and charity, to name a few. Let my prayer lead to peaceful action and change for the common good.
Day 67: Wednesday, July 16
Holy One, embolden us to speak truth with grace. May we use our voices to stand for what is right—firmly but respectfully—and sow seeds of peace, justice, and unity in a divided world.
Day 68: Thursday, July 17
Loving God, we pray for all animals—pets who rely on our care and wild creatures harmed by the climate crisis. May they be treated with compassion and protected from extreme heat and suffering as part of Your creation.
Day 69: Friday, July 18
God of all creation, we are called to care for the earth that sustains us. May our choices reflect gratitude, not greed. Guide us toward sustainable living and bold action to protect the environment for generations to come.
Day 70: Saturday, July 19
God of peace, we pray for the people of Gaza and all affected by the war. May the U.S. and global leaders demand the immediate entry of humanitarian aid to save lives. May we be voices for peace, not partners in harm.
