100 Days of Prayer (s23): Days 22-28

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 22: Sunday, June 1

In this last week before Pentecost, we pray that all global leaders recognize the intimate inter-connection of all peoples and situations. May they work to unite not divide; to heal, not to destroy, so that all may live in the fullness of life.

Day 23: Monday, June 2

God of wisdom, we pray for our Senators. May Your compassion and love permeate their hearts and may they formulate a tax and spending bill that protects all U.S. residents, especially the most vulnerable among us.

Day 24: Tuesday, June 3

We pray for the young people in our country. May they grow up in loving homes and safe communities with access to good education. May they imagine their unique purpose in the world and have the resources to fulfill their dreams.

Day 25: Wednesday, June 4

Sustaining God, we are heart-broken by those affected by food insecurity and hunger. We pray that local and international food programs are fully funded, enhancing child education, health, and community empowerment.

Day 26: Thursday, June 5

Spirit of Love, we pray for and give thanks for all migrants who care for our children, bring food to our tables, and enhance our communities. May they, their families, and communities be safe from unjust immigration policies.

Day 27: Friday, June 6

God of Consolations, we fervently pray that health insurance is available to all, especially children, seniors, and disabled persons. May Medicaid remain intact for our dear neighbors and for the medical institutions that rely on it.

Day 28: Saturday, June 7

Creator, we pray for an end to all federal policies meant to intimidate, threaten, and coerce. May scientific, social, and academic integrity be restored to protect all people and the planet, as well as the rule of law.
