100 Days of Prayer (s23): Days 15-21

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 15: Sunday, May 25

In this ongoing Easter season, I pray for all who face serious medical conditions. May they be comforted and strengthened by the Holy Spirit, and experience the love of community, family, and friends.

Day 16: Monday, May 26

This Memorial Day, I pray for Veterans who gave all for our country, and for those who suffer physical and mental wounds. May our healthcare system treat all Veterans with the respect and care they deserve.

Day 17: Tuesday, May 27

I pray that all leaders experience transformation of heart and mind, especially those who inflict starvation and displacement to further political goals. May they be filled with love and work for equity and healing for all.

Day 18: Wednesday, May 28

Loving Creator, I pray for all sea life, sea lions and dolphins who are dying and sickened by polluted waterways, and rising ocean temperatures. Empower Your people to protect Your precious creation.

Day 19: Thursday, May 29

I pray for all who are unhoused and those who are housing insecure. May we, as a society, prioritize safe, truly affordable housing, employment, and dignified treatment for all with mental health and addiction challenges.

Day 20: Friday, May 30

Ultimate Protector, I pray for migrants who fled danger and now work in the U.S., strengthening our communities and economy. I pray for those who lost Temporary Protected Status due to inhumane policies — may they remain safe.

Day 21: Saturday, May 31

I pray for the people of Gaza, Sudan, and too many other regions who are undergoing oppression, hunger, and violence. May those who inflict harm be touched by the Spirit of love, and may all people be folded into God’s embrace.
