100 Days of Prayer (s17): Days 28-35

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 29: Sunday, June 4

Today I pray for fiscal spending that cares for our sisters and brothers. May our budgets serve as moral documents. Lead us to just and compassionate sharing of resources that solves issues of poverty, ignorance, suffering, and oppression.

Day 30: Monday, June 5

God of provision, I pray for all new graduates that they may find jobs in their chosen fields offering a just wage. May opportunities open to provide a good start to steady careers that contribute and give back to our communities.

Day 31: Tuesday, June 6

Today I pray for those who face violence and abuse. Help me to recognize when someone is a victim of domestic violence and grant me the courage and wisdom to respond in ways that will help.

Day 32: Wednesday, June 7

Compassionate God, open my eyes to see what brings us together and remove any veils of fear or insecurity that separate us. Help me to become aware of hidden biases that can feed racism. Lead me to love one another as You love us.

Day 33: Thursday, June 8

Today I pray for those who do not have a home for any reason. Heal those struggling with mental health, addiction, limited resources, or broken relationships. May each find a place of safety and love to call home.

Day 34: Friday, June 9

God of creation, reveal how to be good stewards of our precious water so that every drop is clean and accessible to all brothers and sisters. Guide the just use of the Colorado River and other precious sources in our parched lands.

Day 35: Saturday, June 10

Today I pray for my sisters and brothers who are migrating to another place to find work or safety. Grant them safe passage and welcoming communities. Keep their families united.
