100 Days of Prayer (s18): Days 64-70

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 64: Sunday, November 5

God of peace, I come before You again to humbly ask for an end to the destructive conflict between Israel and Hamas-governed Gaza. Enable aid to reach those in need. Clear the way for reconciliation and restoration to begin.

Day 65: Monday, November 6

Today I pray that our elected representatives will abandon partisan gridlock and work toward solutions to the issues of our day like peace, poverty, racism, inequity, forced migration, and the climate emergency.

Day 66: Tuesday, November 7

Holy Spirit, provide Your voice so that I can advocate for my brothers and sisters at risk from a diminished safety net. May people find work with a just wage, be equitably treated, have a roof over their head, and enough to eat.

Day 67: Wednesday, November 8

Today I pray for people in positions of power, like Supreme Court Justices or business executives. Provide moments of peace and reflection to help them act ethically and generously in service to the dear neighbor and the common good.

Day 68: Thursday, November 9

Compassionate God, come to the aid of those forced into migration. Reveal a path to a new home that welcomes them. As You help my brothers and sisters recover from the trauma of displacement, heal their homelands.

Day 69: Friday, November 10

God of creation, gift me with the presence of mind and strength of will to intentionally care for our common home each day. May small actions catch on and multiply as others who do the same, to clean and cool our shared home.

Day 70: Saturday, November 11

As the U.S. recognizes veterans, I pray that my brothers and sisters keep peace and avoid the violence of war. May vets who have experienced conflict fully heal in every way. Fortheirservice, maytheyreceivealltheservicestheyneed.
