God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 22: Sunday, September 27
God of peace, transform those representing the U.S. to lead with diplomacy on the global stage and to stick with the painstaking process. Guide us away from violent threats and actions and help us become trustworthy, model diplomats.
Day 23: Monday, September 28
God of wisdom, I ask for Your intervention in the development of artificial intelligence. Do not let us be fooled by the name change to super intelligence. Reveal ways to manage this capability to serve people and the environment.
Day 24: Tuesday, September 29
Today I pray for election integrity. Encourage everyone who is eligible to vote to be able to do so, free from obstacles that might prevent each person from being represented.
Day 25: Wednesday, September 30
God of all creation, grant me foresight to prepare for extreme weather caused by a super El Niño effect, and resolve to respond to long-term climate change. Please amplify sustainable habits across societies to care for our common home.
Day 26: Thursday, October 1
Today I pray for people without nutritious food because they live in a food desert, struggle to put food on the table, or are fearful of venturing into the community for necessities. Help me prevent my neighbor from going hungry.
Day 27: Friday, October 2
Holy Spirit, inspire creativity in our society to overcome corporate greed and achieve affordability in housing, food, and overall living. Awaken us to actions that support and protect people’s needs.
Day 28: Saturday, October 3
Today I pray for dignified, equitable treatment of all people no matter their age, gender, race, or status. Give me courage to speak up and tear down systemic racism wherever I encounter it. Let us lift people up, not hold them down.
