100 Days of Prayer (s27): Days 15-21

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.
God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 15: Sunday, September 20
God of creation, illuminate our hearts and minds to recognize that caring for the earth is a means to care for each other. Grant us humility and wisdom to be stewards of what You created for the benefit of each other and our posterity.
Day 16: Monday, September 21
God of peace, I ask for your intervention into wars that are tearing down societies and families. Transform the hearts of leaders who create this devastation and enable them to take steps toward a just and lasting peace.
Day 17: Tuesday, September 22
Today I pray that all people able to vote in the upcoming U.S. midterm election may do so without encountering obstacles. I pray for people to make a voting plan to participate in the election, and for widespread confidence in the results.
Day 18: Wednesday, September 23
Holy Spirit, inspire me to be a person who unites others. Enable me to listen intently to those I disagree with, help me to be patient and articulate to share my views, and may I always respond with love and draw people together.
Day 19: Thursday, September 24
Today I pray for migrant communities who throughout our nation’s history have been scapegoated as causes of current problems. Lead me to understand their experiences and assist my brothers and sisters where possible.
Day 20: Friday, September 25
Loving and gracious God, may my care and love for my dear neighbor be pleasing to You. Grant that I may have eyes to see systems that treat people unfairly or inequitably, and to find remedies and solutions to help.
Day 21: Saturday, September 26
Today I pray that current economic conditions will be disrupted so that essentials like housing and food may be affordable. May Your divine providence supply what is needed when it is needed, and lead people away from poverty.
