100 Days of Prayer (s18): Days of 22-28

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 22: Sunday, September 24

God of abundance, I pray that all who enjoy the fruits of Your creation and foresee prosperity in their future, share their blessings with those who suffer from economic shortcomings such as food insecurity and homelessness.

Day 23: Monday, September 25

I pray our legislators see the value of the economic contributions immigrants make to our nation. God of wisdom, guide our leaders to understand the benefits of immigration reform and lead them towards dialogue.

Day 24: Tuesday, September 26

Loving God, I pray corporations commit to end waste and begin to protect our precious natural resources including water, forests, oceans and clean air. May I be inspired to continue to get involved and move others to do the same.

Day 25: Wednesday, September 27

Today I pray for the political, economic and social empowerment of all women worldwide. Lead us to join as one in support. Guide us to commit to social integration of all women in our communities.

Day 26: Thursday, September 28

God of justice, I pray for constructive dialogue that affirms, values and protects all workers. May employers take in consideration the dignity of their employees as they move forward towards a resolution of disputes.

Day 27: Friday, September 29

Today I pray for all leaders worldwide that they may support their people towards change. Guide leaders to find ways to strengthen communities and support forums that create dialogue and build bridges that unite.

Day 28: Saturday, September 30

Merciful God, today I pray for all who have been impacted by natural disasters. May they find hope and consolation in You. May we be aware that we have control over our daily actions that contribute to the climate crisis.
