Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.
God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 85: Sunday, November 26
God of Peace, guide decision-makers in war zones like Gaza and Ukraine toward an end to horrific violence. Reveal paths toward sustained peace, healing and rebuilding.
Day 86: Monday, November 27
Today I pray for brothers and sisters traveling to new places to restart their lives because their homelands lack safety and opportunity. May they find a welcoming community. Enable me to be a part of it.
Day 87: Tuesday, November 28
May the gift of a grateful and generous heart inspire me to respond in love to those with whom I disagree.
Day 88: Wednesday, November 29
God of the Universe, lead me to sustainable actions that prevent greenhouse gases and plastic pollution. May these same actions be multiplied so that we may care for each other by caring for our common home.
Day 89: Thursday, November 30
Today I pray for integrity of our systems and institutions, that they may be free of corruption, greed and polarized bickering. Lead us to be mission-focused on equity and fairness, assisting those who most need it.
Day 90: Friday, December 1
As I enter December and the Advent season, help me focus on family, friends and those in need. In the weeks ahead, may my top priorities include listening, and nurturing relationships. Let me be a catalyst to help people who need hope.
Day 91: Saturday, December 2
With colder days coming, I ask You to provide for the unhoused in our communities. Empower me to provide a warm place to rest, food for nourishment, and relationships that offer hope.
