Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 78: Sunday, April 5

Resurrected Christ, we celebrate Your eternal presence among us. May our great “alleluia” resound in policy and action that reflect human dignity, the common good, and the fullness of life for all.

Day 79: Monday, April 6

Accompanying God, we pray for those who are forced to migrate, abandoning their homeland, community, and livelihood. Transform our hearts to welcome them with compassion, recognizing all as our loved siblings.

Day 80: Tuesday, April 7

God of Sustenance, we lift up all TSA employees and others struggling financially and socially from the partial government shutdown. May their lives be restored and may we all respond generously in their time of need.

Day 81: Wednesday, April 8

Holy One, we pray for the people of Sudan and Palestine, who continue to face violence, hunger, and displacement. Transform those responsible for violent division to collaborate with opposing factions for the good of all.

Day 82: Thursday, April 9

Protecting One, we pray for families struggling with the high cost of living, particularly those who are housing insecure. May children be fed and nurtured. May parents receive just wages. May social policies allow for affordable living.

Day 83: Friday, April 10

Creator, we are heartbroken by the destruction unfolding in our world, including the escalating tensions in Iran and the Middle East. Empower leaders to reject the dehumanization that occurs in the name of seeking peace.

Day 84: Saturday, April 11

God of Life, we are grateful for the many faith communities, nonprofits, and NGOs responding to our world’s many needs. May they be renewed, strengthened, and well-resourced to bring Your people to wholeness.
