Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.
God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 50: Sunday, March 8
God of Peace, we pray for an end to the war in Iran and the Middle East. May
aggressors cease their hostilities. May meaningful dialogue and efforts for the
common good for all Your people prevail.
Day 51: Monday, March 9
God of Justice, we are grateful for all who worked tirelessly for the right to
vote. May this right prevail amidst federal and state attempts to discourage and
restrict who can participate in our democracy.
Day 52: Tuesday, March 10
Holy One, we lift up undocumented persons, those with DACA, and those with
refugee status. Transform unjust, violent immigration policies and those who
establish them. Protect communities, families, and individuals living in anguish.
Day 53: Wednesday, March 11
God of Comfort, we pray for all people struggling to make ends meet, and are
vulnerable to food and housing insecurity, and lack of medical treatment. May
fair wages, healthcare, safe housing, and food security abound for all.
Day 54: Thursday, March 12
Loving Creator, we pray for all of Your creatures impacted by war, civil unrest,
and pollution. May leaders prioritize protecting air, land, and water ecosystems
before undertaking destructive actions.
Day 55: Friday, March 13
God of Wisdom, empower global leaders with an understanding heart and to
seek Your wisdom in distinguishing right from wrong in far-reaching policy
decisions. Protect all people who suffer from racism and discrimination.
Day 56: Saturday, March 14
Lifegiving Source, we pray for peacemakers and all Your people in this chaotic
time. Keep our hearts and minds centered on Your love as we strive to inspire
action that alleviates the causes of ignorance, poverty, suffering and oppression.
