Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 43: Sunday, March 1

We pray today for all the families whose loved ones have been wrongly detained. May the toxic rhetoric this Administration uses to detain innocent people be challenged by leaders standing up for their constituents.

Day 44: Monday, March 2

Nourishing Creator, we lift up all those who are food insecure and facing cutbacks to SNAP. May nutrition safety nets be fully restored and may neighbor share with neighbor so that children, seniors, and families thrive.

Day 45: Tuesday, March 3

God of Love, we pray for a full restoration of international aid to those who suffer from malnutrition, disease, and poverty. Empower leaders to infuse morality and human dignity in all budgetary decision-making.

Day 46: Wednesday, March 4

Sheltering One, we pray for all those who are unhoused, including veterans and those facing mental health, addiction, and life-threatening illnesses. May affordable and sustainable housing be built for our unhoused siblings.

Day 47: Thursday, March 5

Loving Creator, we pray for all who are uninsured or underinsured due to poverty, lack of documentation, or Medicaid cutbacks. Empower decision-makers to reform our healthcare system so all may live in Your fullness.

Day 48: Friday, March 6

Holy One, we pray for all young people who are aging out of the foster care system. Keep them safe from traffickers, poverty, and homelessness. Strengthen governmental and social services that provide shelter, jobs, and community.

Day 49: Saturday, March 7

Today I pray that rooting out fraud in government operations will stop real criminal activity that costs taxpayers. May the effort never be used to dismantle safety net programs that help people.
