God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 22: Sunday, February 8
FEAST OF ST. JOSEPHINE BAKHITA - Today we pray that St. Bakhita intercedes for those who are enslaved. May they be freed and find support that will provide them with healing for their emotional and physical wounds.
Day 23: Monday, February 9
Nourishing God, we pray for those who are food insecure due to cuts to nutrition programs. Inspire our hearts to be compassionate, to share our abundance, and to act in feeding our neighbors.
Day 24: Tuesday, February 10
Compassionate God, we pray for our detained immigrant dear neighbors separated from their suffering families. May leaders recognize that human dignity must be protected and support reform of unjust immigration systems.
Day 25: Wednesday, February 11
Today we pray that elected leaders are inspired by a spirit of integrity and courage to speak up on behalf of a just democracy. May they turn away from exclusion and work for the common good.
Day 26: Thursday, February 12
Protecting Creator, we pray for all people terrorized by ICE’s inhumane raids that employ chaotic tactics that traumatize families. May this Administration take action soon to end this violence against our peaceful communities.
Day 27: Friday, February 13
Loving God, we are heartbroken by the ongoing suffering gloablly due to cuts to U.S. AID. We pray that decision-makers implement a moral federal budget and prioritize financing for food, education, and medical care.
Day 28: Saturday, February 14
Today we pray to be instruments of love, reaching out to those in need, and to those who are lonely or hurting on this day. May Your loving spirit surround us with comfort and peace.
