Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 15: Sunday, February 1

Compassionate God, we pray for single-parent families burdened by rising costs of housing, transportation, childcare, and healthcare. May our nation’s leaders collaborate to pass social programs to address these inequalities.

Day 16: Monday, February 2

Loving God, we grieve and are angered by the tragic killings of Renée Nicole Good and Alex Jeffrey Pretti by ICE. May this Administration turn away from violence and dehumanizing people in our communities.

Day 17: Tuesday, February 3

Today, we pray for people of color in our country who experience disproportionate rates of homelessness, economic exclusion, and racism that negatively impact their health, income, and education.

Day 18: Wednesday, February 4

God of Love, we pray for children who are experiencing mental health issues, including trauma, due to fear of their family being separated by detention and deportation. May they be protected, comforted, and reassured.

Day 19: Thursday, February 5

Unifying God, we pray that we recognize that true inclusion begins with seeing and honoring the inherent worth of every person. May Your grace strengthen us to end racial stereotypes that oppress the most vulnerable.

Day 20: Friday, February 6

God of All, we pray that we all work together to provide the LGBTQ+ community a safe environment where they feel acknowledged, respected, and included. May they find the support needed to be heard and thrive.

Day 21: Saturday, February 7

Today we pray for our indigenous communities, who often are excluded and isolated from much-needed economic support and services. May leaders understand the need for inclusion, respect, healing, and reconciliation.
