Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 64: Sunday, November 9

We pray for continued blessings on all peacemakers and on everyone who promotes nonviolent solutions to conflict. We pray for an end to all violence around the world.

Day 65: Monday, November 10

God of Life, we pray that current leaders work together to bring back the much-needed nutrition and social safety net programs that so many families rely on to survive.

Day 66: Tuesday, November 11

Compassionate One, we are heartbroken by the senseless suffering of Your precious people in Sudan, Haiti, and too many other places. Touch the hearts of leaders so they turn away from warfare to reconciliation.

Day 67: Wednesday, November 12

We pray for an end to prejudice throughout our country and the world; that all people are respected; and that all forms of discrimination be banished from our hearts and laws.

Day 68: Thursday, November 13

God of Healing, we pray for the sick, the aged, and the infirm; for those with terminal illnesses and physical or mental disabilities. May they feel God’s loving embrace in their bodies, minds, and spirits.

Day 69: Friday, November 14

We pray for all children and their families who experience neglect, abuse, or separation due to inhumane policies. We pray that all may be protected, supported and reunited.

Day 70: Saturday, November 15

God of Love, we pray to look beyond ourselves and address the needs of our siblings around the world, the re-building of our communities, and an end to structural cycles of violence.
