Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 50: Sunday, October 26

Creator of abundance, we lift up farmers and agricultural workers who grow the food that sustains us. Bless their labor, protect them from exploitation and harm, and grant them fair compensation for their vital work.

Day 51: Monday, October 27

God of peace, we pray for the children living in war-torn countries who wake to the sounds of conflict instead of laughter. Protect them from harm, comfort their fears, and stir the world to act for their safety and healing.

Day 52: Tuesday, October 28

God of mercy, we pray for families separated by deportation. Comfort parents and children enduring painful distance. May they find support, safety, and compassion in their communities until they are reunited.

Day 53: Wednesday, October 29

God of hope, we pray for the young children in our schools—our future generation. Keep them safe from harm and surrounded by love. Bless teachers, parents, and communities to nurture them with care and wisdom.

Day 54: Thursday, October 30

God of justice, guide our political leaders to make decisions rooted in truth, compassion, and equity. May they seek the common good over personal gain and create laws that uplift and protect every person.

Day 55: Friday, October 31

God of light, we pray for protection over those who are unhoused and vulnerable, especially the many families struggling to make ends meet to keep their families housed.  May we care for our neighbors in need.

Day 56: Saturday, November 1

Loving Provider, we pray for those struggling under the rising cost of living. Grant relief to families burdened by housing, food, and medical expenses, and move leaders to enact policies that bring stability and justice.
