Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 15: Sunday, September 21

Heavenly God, in this season of division, political unrest, and violence that wounds our hearts, we ask for Your peace to guard our nation. May truth and love prevail over fear and anger. Bind us together in compassion.

Day 16: Monday, September 22

Today I pray for the people of Gaza who face war, hunger, and poverty. Shield them from destruction and guide their leaders to establish a lasting peace. Clear a path to end suffering and hunger.

Day 17: Tuesday, September 23

Loving God, grant me compassion, wisdom, humility, and the ability to articulate my thoughts and feelings when addressing political division. Show me how to mend broken relationships and serve the common good.

Day 18: Wednesday, September 24

Compassionate God, we mourn the violence that has struck sacred places of learning and worship. We lift up the students, families, and communities who are grieving and wounded. Heal broken hearts and restore peace.

Day 19: Thursday, September 25

We pray for those living in fear: immigrants, those facing enforcement policies, those feeling unsafe to celebrate their heritage, those whose voices are silenced. We lift them to You now. Protect the vulnerable. Grant them dignity and safety.

Day 20: Friday, September 26

Almighty God, for those in places of power—local and national leaders, judicial authorities, lawmakers—grant wisdom, humility, and courage. May policies be rooted in justice and compassion.

Day 21: Saturday, September 27

Lord of new beginnings, when anxiety over the economy and social unrest press on us, renew our hope in You. Fill us with Your Spirit to persevere, to love, to serve—not just for ourselves but for the flourishing of all.
