100 Days of Prayer (s21): Days 78-84

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 78: Sunday, November 17

Unifying Presence, I pray for all people experiencing anguish over the threats of deportation and family separation by the new administration. Guide newly elected officials to embrace compassionate hearts and understanding.

Day 79: Monday, November 18

Loving Creator, we pray for the International Climate Talks in Azerbaijan. May we commit to swift action to avert worsening climate impacts and provide needed assistance to peoples disproportionately impacted by the climate crisis.

Day 80: Tuesday, November 19

God of All, we pray for healing, strength, and comfort of human trafficking survivors. Transform the hearts of those involved in this egregious injustice. Enlighten the U.S. Senate to pass policies that aim to prevent human trafficking.

Day 81: Wednesday, November 20

God of Wisdom, we pray that all newly elected leaders enact policies to protect the most vulnerable among us. May they not usurp their authority to implement policy based on ideology, racism, or fear.

Day 82: Thursday, November 21

God of Comfort, I pray for all migrants who flee their countries out of fear, intimidation, and violence. May all people understand the migrant journey and welcome new arrivals as precious and gifted brothers and sisters.

Day 83: Friday, November 22

Creator, transform our hearts and minds, guiding us to live sustainably. Empower us to reduce our use of Earth’s resources and protect all ecosystems, so that Your entire Creation may live in the fullness of life.

Day 84: Saturday, November 23

All-Embracing One, as we approach the Day of Thanksgiving, may we all reach out in friendship to our Indigenous siblings among us. Enlighten our hearts to honor the Native principles which we share: that all life is sacred.
