God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 92: Sunday, August 11
Spirit of Love, I commit to seeing your face in all people I encounter this week. Enlighten our hearts and minds in the knowledge that your love permeates all people.
Day 93: Monday, August 12
We pray for all children victimized by warfare and unjust policies. Heal our young ones and their families. Guide us to provide an equitable world where children can flourish in an environment of love and peace.
Day 94: Tuesday, August 13
Loving Creator, we give thanks for all creatures great and small. Enlighten us with Your love and protection for all Your Creation, so that ecosystems and all of nature will be in balance as You intended.
Day 95: Wednesday, August 14
God of Peace, I pray fervently for world peace and that leaders uphold the dignity of all people. May they find ways to collaborate on common goals that bring an end to violence and warfare.
Day 96: Thursday, August 15
God of Comfort, we are heartbroken by the continued suffering and death of our brothers and sisters in Gaza. Transform the hearts of leaders that they engage in dialogue that will lead to the protection of all people.
Day 97: Friday, August 16
We pray for all people who suffer from extreme heat in our communities and throughout the world. May humanity collectively realize that we need to change our consumption habits that provide fuel for extreme weather patterns.
Day 98: Saturday, August 17
In this time of heightened political rhetoric, I pray to stay centered on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I pray I am led away from divisiveness to Your realm where I can be a unifying presence.
