Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.
God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 71: Sunday, March 31
Loving Creator, may our hearts and minds blossom with true fondness for all Creation as we rejoice in the Risen Christ.
Day 72: Monday, April 1
We honor all who stand up to oppression, putting themselves in harm’s way, like St. Oscar Romero of El Salvador. May their sacrifice work to transform hearts of stone and shine a light on God’s true path.
Day 73: Tuesday, April 2
Universal Love, we are heartbroken and angry by the senseless killing, maiming and starvation of your people in Gaza. We pray fervently for a ceasefire now, and for a lasting solution that brings justice and security to all in the region.
Day 74: Wednesday, April 3
God of Life, let us all compassionately welcome those who have been forced to migrate because of violence and oppression. May we see each new arrival as cherished friend and neighbor, widening our circle of understanding and love.
Day 75: Thursday, April 4
Holy One, we fervently pray for protection of all migrants. May they find safe shelter, food, and dignified work and be safe from the threat of trafficking.
Day 76: Friday, April 5
Our world bears witness to the suffering Christ in small children killed and maimed by violence. May perpetrators of violence be transformed to recognize the dignity of every human life despite borders, religious belief, or ethnicity.
Day 77: Saturday, April 6
We lift up all dear neighbors who are elderly. May they all be treated as wisdom figures and beloveds, celebrated for the gifts they give and have given throughout their lives.
