God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 43: Sunday, March 3
Loving and gracious God, may You abide within people in powerful positions so they become servant leaders for the common good who seek solutions with equity, justice and peace.
Day 44: Monday, March 4
Today I pray that voter’s rights are recognized, for an end to political gerrymandering, and for truth and clarity in political campaigns. May each of these prayers result in the best representative government for the people.
Day 45: Tuesday, March 5
Lord, I ask for humility and grace when interacting with people who choose to vote differently than I do. Help me treat each person with dignity as a unique and loved individual rather than as a stereotype as at times portrayed in media.
Day 46: Wednesday, March 6
God of abundance, guide me to make wise decisions with my needs and wants to prevent waste and offer a hand up to my dear neighbor, locally and globally. Help me to care for each other by caring for our common home.
Day 47: Thursday, March 7
Today I pray for solutions at the U.S. southern border; for compassion toward brothers and sisters who are migrating for desperate reasons, for courage and grace to diminish xenophobia, and wisdom and humility to resolve the crisis.
Day 48: Friday, March 8
God of provision, empower us to create housing solutions that are independent of a marketplace that often prevents people from having a roof over their head. Lead us to decisions that create affordable housing in our communities.
Day 49: Saturday, March 9
Today I pray for the wisdom and willpower to be the best steward of Your creation that I can be. Help me find ways to stop using plastic and to reduce my carbon footprint. May others join me to develop trends that help the climate.
