God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 36: Sunday, February 25
Today I pray for compassion for our migrant brothers and sisters who continue to confront obstacles either on the journey towards a safe place to call home, or face discrimination and unsafe situations once they arrive.
Day 37: Monday, February 26
Merciful God, I pray that Your healing embrace will give hope to those who suffer from environmental disasters caused by the climate crisis. May we hear the cry of the poor and act on it.
Day 38: Tuesday, February 27
May our response to the cry for creation connect us to our descendants.
Day 39: Wednesday, February 28
God of creation, guide me to make sensible decisions at home and at work that will contribute to stopping plastic pollution from filling our oceans and landfills. Enable me to find ways to protect Your creation.
Day 40: Thursday, February 29
I pray for the essential workers who labor in the fields and contribute through their hard work to provide the food on our tables. May we not take them for granted and pay them just wages.
Day 41: Friday, March 1
Unifying God, I pray for our nation in this election year. May voting rights be protected and respected, and all who are eligible to vote be provided with an opportunity to make their voice heard with their vote.
Day 42: Saturday, March 2
God of Compassion, we pray for children facing food insecurity. Grant them strength and hope. Empower leaders to pass the Farm Bill that supports sustainable nutrition programs in our nation and in other countries.
