100 Days of Prayer (s16): Days 3-9




Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.




God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.


Day 3: Friday, January 22

Gracious God, I pray for those impacted by the recent environmental disasters in California. I ask You to provide hope and resilience to my brothers and sisters who are distraught, have suffered a loss, or cannot find support.


Day 4: Monday, January 23

Today I pray for patience when in dialogue with family members who do not value unity or respect for one another. God, help me to be the person who shares the gift of compassion and understanding.


Day 5: Tuesday, January 24

Compassionate God, I pray for the migrants who are waiting in anguish, anticipating what may develop from the recent immigration decisions by the Biden Administration. Loving God, protect them and give them hope.


Day 6: Wednesday, January 25

Today I pray for my brothers and sisters who are victims of institutionalized racism. May I find the courage to make a difference so our young generations live free of discrimination and bigotry.


Day 7: Thursday, January 26

God of inclusive love, I pray for all whom are trafficked through enslaved labor or sexual exploitation. May we commit to finding ways to dismantle human trafficking and support survivors.


Day 8: Friday, January 27

Today I pray for all my brothers and sisters who suffer from food insecurity in our neighborhoods and worldwide. May local and world leaders collaborate however needed to make sure everyone has enough to eat.


Day 9: Saturday, January 28

God of Justice, guide me to be proactive in conserving water. May people’s right to access clean water be central when decisions are made by policy and government leaders locally, nationally, and globally.

Urge Congress to invest in peace.
