100 Days of Prayer (s22): Days 85-91

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 85: Sunday, April 13

PALM SUNDAY - Merciful God, accompany me in my discernment through

times I may not fully understand. Guide me to faithfully stand by You in any

circumstance. May this be revealed in the care I provide my dear neighbor.

Day 86: Monday, April 14

Spirit of peace, influence our thoughts toward You so that we may lay down our

weapons. Lead us to stop hurting each other in war zones around the world as

well as in our own homes and neighborhoods. Let Your peace prevail, always.

Day 87: Tuesday, April 15

Today I pray that my tax dollars are spent in meaningful ways serving our

communities and the common good, protecting the vulnerable, creating equity

among people, caring for our common home, and assisting those in need.

Day 88: Wednesday, April 16

God of healing, I recognize my vulnerability as agencies like the CDC, FEMA,

NOAA, VA, and more have lost their former capacity to serve the people.

Draw us together to help each other through epidemics and disasters.

Day 89: Thursday, April 17

HOLY THURSDAY - Loving God, be my companion through celebrations,

betrayals, convictions, and punishments. Open my eyes to see Your love as the

foundation I need in everything I encounter. Enable me to share it.

Day 90: Friday, April 18

GOOD FRIDAY - When the moment feels as dark as it can be, let me

remember Your self-emptying, sacrificial love. May I find hope in it, and

faithfully keep going toward a brighter day when I can follow You more closely..

Day 91: Saturday, April 19

HOLY SATURDAY - When I am grieving and can’t seem to find the way

forward, may faith reveal Your presence within me. May this discovery unleash

joy that overcomes cynicism and doubt, pulling myself and others together.
