God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.
Day 52: Sunday, March 12
Today I pray for equitable representation of all people in our society. Let the people we see in our movies and media reflect who we truly are. Let us remake our institutions to be free from racist biases and to be fair and inclusive to all.
Day 53: Monday, March 13
Loving God, lead me to restore relationships that have been hurt by pride and perceptions that label and divide us. Lead me to humility and respond in love when I encounter people with whom I disagree.
Day 54: Tuesday, March 14
Today I pray for people held at borders. Let us see them as brothers and sisters in great need and respond with generous hospitality. Help them find a place to call home while the poverty and abuses in their homelands cease.
Day 55: Wednesday, March 15
God of peace, soften the hearts of global leaders who are increasingly arming themselves to defend against real and imagined threats. Stop bullies in their tracks and lead people to work together for the common good.
Day 56: Thursday, March 16
Today I pray that people have the opportunity to work for a living wage. May no one have to work multiple jobs to survive in any regional economy. Give people the break they need to find rest and better opportunities.
Day 57: Friday, March 17
Creator God, open my eyes to reveal the many ways I use plastics and how I can reduce their use. Help me to prevent polymers from polluting our common home for generations to come. Help me to fast from plastic.
Day 58: Saturday, March 18
Today I pray for enlightenment toward actions I can take to make basic needs like food, housing, utilities and transportation affordable for all. God, prevent groups from manipulating supply and demand for their own profit.
