100 Days of Prayer (s16): Days 45-51

Begin with the prayer below, then go to the prayer for the day.

God of wisdom and mercy, grant us patience to listen; compassion to be open to other views and opinions; generosity to forgive and grace to change. As you taught us to love our dear neighbor, we pray that you give us strength to be healing instruments of unity and reconciliation.

Day 45: Sunday, March 5

God of abundance, lead me to advocate against deserts where goods and services are unable to reach people. We have everything we need and more thanks to You. Let us share and make essential needs available to all people.

Day 46: Monday, March 6

Today I pray for peace for the people of Ukraine and Russia. May the conflict cease, borders be restored, nations rebuilt, and people healed. I ask for Your intercession to guide children, separated by war, safely back to their families.

Day 47: Tuesday, March 7

God of compassion, stand by our brothers and sisters held at borders, desperately seeking a better life free of poverty, violence and corruption. Heal their homelands while providing safe opportunities where they choose to go.

Day 48: Wednesday, March 8

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY - I pray for the courage to speak up when circumstances are wrong or unfair. Provide paths for women to be treated equitably. Protect those at risk of violence and lift up those feeling trapped.

Day 49: Thursday, March 9

God of creation, lead me to take the best care of the resources I share with others in our common home. Show me how to steward our precious water to sustain people and agriculture, benefiting people today and in the future.

Day 50: Friday, March 10

Today I pray for Your help to reform the freight rail industry and sectors that prioritize profits over public safety and a healthy workforce. Restore the people and environment in Ohio and prevent events like rail disasters from repeating.

Day 51: Saturday, March 11

God of love, reside in our hearts so we may also act in love, never resorting to violence as a means of power or an expression of our own pain. Help us to unite, heal and fulfill each other rather than dividing and destroying ourselves.
